HELP SUPPORT IN FIGHTING THE ILLEGAL DEFORESTATION HAPPENING IN THE ROMANIAN WOODLAND, DISPLACING AN INCREDIBLE AMOUNT OF WILDLIFE, IN MEMORIAM OF ARTHUR THE BEAR.

We decided to honor the memory of Arthur the bear who was poached and killed illegally in the woodlands Of Romania. We wanted to promote his story internationally in order to attract attention that the forests in Transylvania are under siege from illegal deforestation, and the wildlife population is under attack by poachers looking for exclusive trophies on their walls. This is an attack not only against Romania but one against the world, its health and the ecosystems that are vital to us. A Portion of all our sales will go the protection of brown bears and their natural habitats in Romania.

Romania is home to 60 percent of all of Europe’s brown bear population . We decided to partner with one of the largest and most ethical brown bear sanctuaries in the world,  The Zarnesti Bear Sanctuary. Your donation helps over 100 brown bears from the effects of deforestation and miserable conditions of captivity. 

Until they arrived to the sanctuary, some of the bears didn’t even know what it was like to climb a tree, to hide from the sun in the hot days, or to enjoy deeper water for a bath. Many of them were kept in cages near restaurants, hotels, guesthouses, near cottages and gas stations as tourist attractions. 

The sanctuary has 69 hectares of oak forest where the bears can swim in pools and have food according to their diets studied by the veterinarians and the necessary medical care they might need, also providing them food and water and a sanctuary to live within.
